Let's see your POV/ Driver's seat pics

From last night's barn gig in Bakersfield. Since I'm giving this '68-'77 Charlie cymbal configuration a solid go for the foreseeable future, I'm taking the opportunity to try out different combos. Previous gig was a 24" Giant Beat and 21" Light Dark. For this gig, I went with the 21" Light Dark in the main spot and my 18" Giant Beat to the right of it.

Absolutely love the Camco - Screams Cosmo Clifford - though he used 16” hats.

I would be jamming CCR all day and night on that kit.

Trying out the long-neglected 13x11 tom as a left side "floor tom", after a suggestion by @MrInsanePolack in another thread. Both of my low toms are suspended- I am okay with that. The 13 is interesting, I hadn't tried using it in quite a while, and I like to think I've learned a little about tuning in the interim, but whatever this drum has is built right in. It's deep and sonorous, and rings for a long time without some damping. It works well with the larger tom too imo. Bonus-because I bought a cymbal stand to use with a Yamaha tom mount I already had, I was able to use the top of the stand in the bass drum for the splash, for an improvement over the arm I was previously using.

Drums- 13x11, 10x10, 12x10, 16x14, BD is 20x16. 14x5.5 snare. All MIJ Yamaha except for the pictured bass drum- I do have the MIJ Yamaha 22x16 one that goes with the set, but the 20" works better for me size-wise, and is filling in quite well until I can find a 20" Yamaha I can justify buying.

Cymbals are Zildjian A from various years (the 20" is a late '50s, the 22" and the bottom hat are mid 60s, the 17" crash and top hat are 90s), while the 10" splash is an A Custom and the weird 14" "splash" on the left is some unknown and very tarnished hi hat cymbal that works great as a bigger accent piece. The cowbell is a Pearl Horacio Hernandez signature model.

This is my drum set. It's a bit unusual but so am I. :)

Not sure what you mean by "reverse panorama". It's a little hard for me to perceive the "whole" your configuration because the video is rather slow and dark. I am curious what you mean by "reverse panorama" and also your three (?) snares; can you post regular pictures?

In a panorama standstill and rotate. I guess that dark slow video was more of a flyover.

Ah. Interesting triple snare arrangement; kind of a row of different snappy drums, and then a row of different sustaining drums. Cool!

My worship team kit - i trade out snares/cymbals, but it’s a Gretsch Catalina 20/12/14. Second kit is my personal kit a Gretsch Brooklyn. Some sabians in that pic, but mainly use Istanbul agop everywhere now. Just added a 22” turk ride (3133 grams) and an xist dry dark 20” crash. Those sizes are 20/12/16

Symmetry has returned!
Added a 17" K Custom Dark Crash on the left and replaced the 16" Oriental China with an 18" Novo China

EDIT: Returned the 17" K Custom Dark Crash and the 18" 2002 Novo China. They just didn't fit in :)

Do I need this for my jazz/funk band - no.

Would I love to try one show with it - abso-freaking-loutely.

How fun man!

It is a lot of fun indeed! I do have some 'jazzy' K an K Custom models, so at least that is covered hehe
Your post reminds me of an old video clip of Terry Bozzio jazzing it out on his big kit, so what i'm trying to say that a big kit for jazz can be an option :p

Here's another pic of the boring old usuals... black DW set, hammered bronze Ludwig snare and Giant Beat cymbals. The hammered bronze shell looks particularly tasty in this pic, though.
oh yawn... I'd hit that all night long.

Questions:
What's on the snare drum?
What make & model is that scottish bass drum muffler?
