Love the look of these drums!

Thanks, me too! It's been 2 years now since I got them and I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I was this thrilled about a kit.

Tama Artstar II custom shop:

8x8, 12x9, 16x15, 20x18

Pearl Custom Classic 1-ply snare:

14x5

Paiste Colorsound 900:

18", 19", 20" crashes
20" ride
14" hihat (top cymbal on back order)
10" splash

OMG, I can't believe I actually found someone with the same setup as me! 8", 12" and 16" toms and I switch between a 20 and 22 BD. I also use the Trick Cymbal releases. I'm curious, how do you tune?

Funny, I just switched from a Tama Granstar Custom with 8, 12, 16 toms, and a 22" bass drum.

I tune depending on the kit. These ones sound nice with the heads tuned the same (I use a Tune Bot). The Granstars sounded better with the resos tuned to a third higher than the batters.

Not enough room to actually get behind the kit but this is a fairly accurate look at drivers seat. (studio is only 10x10.

Nice! I use a Tunebot as well, but I tune top and bottom the same. I have it set as follows:

8" - 238 Hz
12" - 179 Hz
16" - 134 Hz

It works decently for the metal band I play in - using Pearl SSC (Birch/Kapur), but I'm curious about custom tunings. These shell aren't as deep as Granstars or your new kit. Would you mind sharing your tunings?

I had my 12" Granstar tom cut down, so now it's just a shade under 8" deep. And the 8" (same depth as the 12) for that kit is a thick Keller birch shell that I had finished and drilled, and the inside stained to match the rest of the kit.

The Artstar IIs are basically tuned to an inverted G chord:

8 - 4D
12 - 3G
16 - 2B

My Mapex Saturn V, 10x7, 12x8, 14x12, 16x14, 24x18 with Gretsch Full Range 14x6.5 snare.

I had the pleasure of playing this astonishing Guru handmade kit at Middle Farm Studios in Devon. Truly exceptional kit and had some of the warmest and focused tones I've heard from an acoustic set!

Up to date overhead shot of the Saturn's with new Paiste's members, they are trying to take over.

Took this pic and rehearsal this afternoon. Very happy with the rocket toms and found a nice spot to mount them. Adds more color to my set!

Beautiful set up! Really clean and looks a joy to play

Thanks! I need to fix the logo's of the heads sometime, but to lazy to do that. Also need to turn the shell so the badges face outward again now I'm using the rack again. Then it will look more clean ;)

I switch my setup around every couple of months, but keep coming back to this. Most ergonomically setup for me.

Three snares, two triggers & a cable-hat.

Been a while since I posted (2012!), here's my current kit, very streamlined since the old rack/mixer/amp/compressor/samplers & Kat pad set-up to my left!

14x24, 8x12, 9x13 & 16x16 Classic Maple in Teal Sparkle (from 2016), 6.5" Black Beauty (and 6.5 spare Supra at bottom.)

After I got rid of the above-mentioned rack, I used a smaller case as a table on my left. Today, I replaced it with a small Pearl tray, which handily clamps to the 1.5" leg of the drum rack.

All sitting on a new Ludwig rug, spiking done in silver sharpie for an uncluttered look and no adhesive issues.
