Took the DW Collectors out for a long overdue spin at rehearsals tonight.
Nice to mix it up, even the band noticed differences between this and my usual Slingerland.
Might gig with it this weekend. Sounded ace.

Watch out for those lighting rigs. Oof.Might gig with it this weekend.
Watch out for those lighting rigs. Oof.
Questions:Update: I swapped the 12" with an Alesis pad, added my good ol' TAMA Superstar snare tuned towards the fat end (my Sonor is tuned pretty funky) and put some trashy old cymbals on a stand as a stack. A ton of new sounds and possibilities for me, lots of fun to play. Oh and I removed the double pedal for now, I don't use it with my current project. The smartphone underneath the hihat runs my metronome app, a remote control for Ardour and the remote control for the Soundcraft UI24R, which is friggin' convenient.

What's that mic situation there by your right knee?
What mics are you using on your toms?
What's the dead animal on your snare?
Nice rack action!
I couldn't do without mine; it's positioned where it is so that it blows upward through the space between the snare, HH, and rack tom to keep my hands dry.Looking down at the brand-new personal cooling device. It makes things so much more pleasant, especially in this very humid summer. Why did I wait so long before getting this? Purchased from the local hardware store when looking for something else. If only it had a Yamaha logo on it!

From my last gig: I normally play a one-up, two-down but for the last gig of the summer, I decided to bring out the 10" tom. It was certainly challenging adjusting to having the 12" tom way off to the right and the ride way over to the side. But fun!

That is the very last Guru Tour series 13x7" segmented black walnut snare ever made. If my house caught on fire it would be this snare and my dog that I grab and run with. What manufacturer is the snare and model.
