Really nice kit man! I love that finish,

How do you like that HHX Raw-bell ride?
I've been wanting to get an AA-raw-bell for a while now.

I personally love the HHX raw bell dry rides, i find it has a great stick definition and compared with something like a paragon has a slightly darker sound but not as pingy.

Thanks!

The RBDR isn't for everyone; personally, though, I love it. It's a heavier ride, and it's more pingy than a lot of other rides, it's really great for rock, funk, or metal (i.e. louder music), but it's not really well-suited for quieter settings. That being said, it would do great on stage, especially the bell: the bell KILLS. Honestly you won't find a more piercing bell. Loud as hell, maybe not as loud as ZIldjian or Paiste's mega bell rides, but it definitely sounds more musical, those mega bells usually sound really clangy.

I honestly don't know why Sabian bothered making 4 different Raw Bell Dry models (AA, AAX, HH, HHX) because I tried them all side-by-side before I bought the HHX, and honestly they ALL sounded more or less the same. Minimal difference, I bought the HHX mostly because it matched the rest of the cymbals I had already chosen. Not much of a difference between models, I'm afraid, but in any case, they all sound great!

This has got to be one of my favourite setups (drums/cymbals) ever. HHX is my dream. Beautiful kit! :)
