Yep, dead straight rock stuff. The kind of playing many regard as "first base" easy. No chops going on, so it must be a walk in the park, eh? Well no, actually, it's anything but. If it were so cut & dried, how come this guy sounds great playing this simple beat work, yet so many don't?
I can hear the metal grinding as the opener slowly exposes the worms inside. LOL!
This guy's happy providing the engine for the front stage performers to lay over. At no point does he try to break free. He's beautifully locked into the bass & keys, a collective atmosphere rumble that's stitched together with the backbeat.
