JDA playing.

Joe,
I'm continually amazed at how well the Red Jasper Broadkasters record.
Just something about em thats just right.
My 18" Broadkaster BD sounds better then my Gretsch RB 18".
Go figure!

What heads you running on your Broadkaster toms??
(remember my broadkaster are the 6P usa shell ala USA custom)..

Original from 2003 (maybe 2005.. (can't pinpoint exact build date

Ambassador weight Broadkaster ink script Gretsch/ Remos' coated top and bottom
"I'm going for the Record"

received these in 2010 NOS sitting unsold discontinued from Gretschs' warehouse via a dealer
and haven't changed a thing

so possibly 5-7 years sitting in Gretsch vinyard plus 14 years owned & played in Jeannette equals- Remo is King- at heads 21 years old
It's somewhat of a miracle frankly

another messy.

(but I have a nice non abusive touch and they are so feathery sweet
Yes, I have noticed that.

I'm currently taking a jazz course with Ulysses Owens (Juilliard) on Drumeo... he being a jazz master, also has that soft feathery touch. He stresses it every lesson, saying that the jazz drummer lives in the world of pianissimo, piano, mezzo-piano and mezzo-forte. It's wonderful when drums are played that way and their real tone rises like fresh baked bread on a summer day.

Yes and we don't leave out bombs.. when appropo :eyes But yes why shout when you want to feel
drums are piano or any other instrument guitar or mandolin; equivalent dynamic range
