JD BECK (15 years old phenomenon from Dallas)

JD Beck is a 15-year-old ASCAP artist from Dallas, TX. He began his drum career at age 8; and, started producing at 12. JD is currently collaborating with French keyboard phenom, DOMi Degalle. They are playing multiple dates as headliners in the US and France, as well as opening for KNOWER and Louis Cole. He has played shows in Dallas, LA, and NYC with Jon Bap; including two shows with Anna Wise. JD and Bap are currently in the studio working on both artists' upcoming albums. In 2018 JD opened Bless You Bruja, Erykah Badu's birthday party concert. He also opened a series of Yellow Days shows with Jon Bap. JD has headlined JD Beck and Friends sets at multiple Deep Ellum area venues. In addition, JD provides drum tracks for multiple producers around the world.

JD is mentored by multi-Grammy winner Robert “Sput” Searight (Snarky Puppy & Kendrick Lamar), Mike Mitchell (Willow Smith & Stanley Clark), and Cleon Edwards (Erykah Badu & Jill Scott). Formal lessons, jam sessions, and clinic attendance are all part of JD’s commitment to honing his craft.


This kid is going places, for sure he will have a bright future in the music scene. He's already well connected in the drum world (everybody loves and support him, from Mike Mitchell to other big names of the new scene).

Actually, I love the girls playing. She’s a great player. In their duo videos, he’s incidental. If it wasn’t for her playing, he wouldn’t need to be there. She’s the true phenom on display here.

Up until that Zildjian LIVE video, I've watched him (usually with DOMI) on Nord videos and stuff and never heard him speak until that one! Him being from TX I always find it amusing he dresses like he's going skiing.

Great chops on the kid though and amazing how little effort he needs to take to move the sticks fast!

One of the coolest kids around - I met him at NAMM like 3 years ago and he was a monster then...can't wait to see where he goes!!

Yeah, to piggyback off of Bo, she's the real talent. The guy is a great drummer, no doubt, but I'm more impressed with her.
It must depend at what level you are a fan of drum and bass drumming, but her, ouffff check her out playing Oscar Peterson at her young age.

Simply amazing


And another one here.. that must be some kind of progressive music but it's very good.
