Ipad/tablet mount--What are you using?

So my band is starting to use the Bandhelper app for our set lists and lyrics. I've been trying to figure out the best place to mount my ipad so its easily visible and easily in reach. I was thinking either mount it off my high hat stand or on the bass drum hoop right in front of me. Any suggestions on what works good to mount it?

I'd fly it off a cymbal stand depending on your setup. Be worried about putting it on the bass drum hoop, for concern over damaging the hoop but more importantly make a mistake and miss a tom or snare and "crash" goes the ipad screen.

I bought an 8$ mount from Amazon that uses a camera tripod mount. I know it's another stand but very stable.I would put that to the left of the hihat or snare

I use one of these from Long and McQuade on my hi hat stand, just because I dont have a cymbal stand that works for me where I'd want it. Sometimes I mount it on my mic stand. Only problem with the hihat mount, it's covered in sawdust at the end of the show. lol. I'm afraid it'll work its way under the button. There's different sizes depending on what tablet you have.

I ended up getting this one because it can fit everything from my mini to my regular depending on what I'm using it for.

I also have a DW one somewhere that uses a cymbal stand, it is okay but doesn't fit newer iPads.

My case for my Galaxy Tab S2 has a kickstand and a keyboard on it, so I put a practice pad on a spare snare stand and use that to my left. I trust it a bit more than a mount, and I don't have to fuss with moving it around for the two different setups I use with my different bands.

I'm not concerned about the hoop, it was trashed long ago by the few previous owners. I was thinking that right off the hoop its really close and easily accessible, i just cant find a way to make it work with any of the things in my spare hardware box.

I use this clamp and gooseneck thing for my tablet, that I got at Fry's for like $20. The "A" clamp opens wide enough to grab the bars of my rack (1.5") and doesn't go anywhere The clamp is also rubber coated, so it won't tear things up.

Just got home from rehearsal. I tried just putting the ipad on a music stand to my left, but its not a great spot for trying to see lyrics while singing. Going to try to come up with something better. I found a box of various RAM mounts in my shop so i'm going to try to rig something up on the bass drum hoop. If i ever make it work i'll post up pics.
