In your own words, try to describe the Sonor phonic sound.

You aren't going to either sorry to say. Like me it's phonics or bust. There is simply no comparison.

Yup….I’ve definitely made up my mind….it’s phonic or bust. And I have a really nice SQ2 kit fairly close to me for a killer deal….nope, waiting out for the right phonic kit

Has anyone bought from Germany and had shipped to the states? I’ve found 2 different really nice kits in Germany…and the seller has a near 5.0 review history with what appears like several successful kit shipments across the pond….but I’m skeered lol. I don’t mind the wait, but not sure how US customs handles these things and/or DHL damages the boxes

"I just recent bought car part (could find only ) in Germany off Ebay. No sweat. If the dealer says they can...DHL to USPS to my US door. Course it was only a lightly boxed Radiator hose...."

it was an unobtainable 3-hole- discontinued in 2017.....sorta "Phonic ; )

If the dealer says they can ship it to you with no problem
might want to take them up on it,

6 ply or 9 ply hose?!? It matters! Lol
what size Phonics would you like? If I can find a second hand lower discontinued radiator hose at a salvage yard in Germany I can find ANYTHING :D

Let's look on Reverb..what sizes? and how many?..

Preferably silver badge more standard sizing like
22x14
12x8
13x9
16x16

But they made these in a lot of sizes. The phonic “plus” tends to come in the squared off sizes from what I’ve seen…and deeper kicks. 12x12, 13x13, 14x14, 22x18 etc….

Only from Canada and no problem. I do believe there’s money involved if the purchase is greater than $800.

I have seen those 2…but they‘re not exactly what I’m waiting for. The centennial kit has the wrong mount and drilled up kick. The rosewood kit is just too rough. I’d like something in cleaner shape. And that yamaha beech looks nice, good luck to the member selling it…but its not what I’m searching for.

I came across this centennial in a really cool color I have not seen, and besides one bruise on it, it looks like it just rolled off the assembly line last week.

pewter was one of the most popular wraps
the guy locally here in the late 70s very popular band, his, were..pewter

There was a pewter set on reverb from France that I didn't post (because it was overseas) Can't find it again)
(but it seemed beat up and the pictures were dark) still wonder why I can't dig it up.

Pewter was very popular look in 75-77/79 catalog it's the 5 pc outfit display color.

Cool images! Good find jda. These in poster form would make great drum room decor

Couple of things…that XK 9207 sound machine 7pc kit in metallic blue is stunning! My wife would definitely be contacting the divorce lawyer if I found one of those monsters and shipped it home lol

Second….those genuine rosewood inner/outer shells look like they’re a full inch thick! Thickest ply shells I’ve ever seen in drums
