I tried the Rob Brown method!

If you get on YouTube go to Cole Paramores How to get the Benny Greb floor tom sound. It explains it in detail. It's kinda how I've been doing it all along. It explains it better than I could here. If you ever get a minute.
Bozozoid that video 🎤 ing differences freak me out. So you use it- can you play double stroke rolls on floor that dead and loose? Surprised the heck out of me it sounds good. I’m gonna try on my 14 floor. Thanks bro. DW the Cornucopia of all things drumming strikes again. Jay and Silent Bob can’t strike anything on Drummerworld. I like using just my 14 floor with my Sonor Safari like Benny-I use the 10 in tom to hold my lil JBL speaker or my phone.A coffee cup doesn’t go well- even with a lid.

I like this Grab tuning video too.

I don't quite remember the quote but JoJo Mayer in his DVD Secret Weapons mentions how drummers can learn how to walk on waves with the right technique. Anyone here remember that?. He rolls on a pepperoni pizza (literally). I've never forgotten that.

Benny is awesome, i didnt know this but i sort of do the snare tuning thing accidently. The 2 closest tension rods to me always loosen a little bit and i tighten only those 2, to bring the pitch back up. Im going to play around with his method to see how it effects the snares range.

I’ve done it, and the results I get vary greatly with the finger pressure. First time I did it, I was way too high. I have to back off of the pressure to get it where I want it. But it does work for getting close.

I tried it as he did but then I tweaked it a bit and I'm loving my floor tom. I usually tuned my 14 floor about F2 because it doesn't sound great low tuned. But using his method had it down to A1 and just thunderous, but I brought it up C2. Yeah Baby! Thanks Bozoid. Yeah and rolls no problem. I even tried it on my 10 in tom and not as great but I tweaked it a bit to an A2 and it sounds like a 12 in tom now. Usually it's a C3 or D3.
