Hey Guys

I just wanted to let everyone know that I made a discovery!!

While working at my shop we got in a Ludwig 302. Its basically an offshore steel version of a 402. Same bearing edge and construction and everything. Even in Canada this drum is only $129!! AND IT SOUNDS AMAZING!!!!!

I own a 1971 supra 402 and of course it sounds better...but honestly (and slightly depressingly) not by much!

The drum comes with an evans G1 as a batter. If you spend an extra $30 and put on a new Hazy 300 head and puresound wires this drum will (i promise you) become one of your favorites! I own a bunch of high end snares and I'm thinking about picking this thing up just because its so cheap and sounds soooo good!!!

Even with tax (depending on where you are of course) it should come to around $200 and its more then worth it! The tuning range is great, tuned down nice and low for back beat or cranked up to take everyones ears off with the crack of the thing!

I'm serious guys! If you get a chance go check one of these bad boys out and even the seasoned pro's here will be surprised!

God Bless,

On the Interstate site there's only a $2 difference between the 5.5 and the 6.5 I'm surprised they have 10 lugs

A drum is just a round cylinder, its not that difficult to produce some consistency with cheaper material(s). The LM300 has a welded seam?

400 owners will be buying these to use the classic lugs on their 400's... make them look retro. I like the looks of the classic lugs more than the Imperials.

I'll bet the 300 could fool a lot of 400 series owners in a blindfold test. Hello China?
