How far are you willing to drive to join / be in a band?

When I lived in London it took an hour to take 'the tube' (underground transit) to get almost anywhere. Driving was much slower.
So for me it's an hour minimum.
Money? It really depends on the gig. The more the gig feels like hard work with little reward, the more I want to be paid. If it's great music with very nice people I don't need to be paid much, maybe not even cover my costs, sometimes do it for free.

I moved from Sydney to the country but am still in the band. So it’s a 90 minute drive to our weekly Thursday night rehearsal but that’s on me and I’m fine with it.

I've got PA with mic's and stands,bass amp,guitar amp,keyboard in my rehearsal room .

I live in the foothills of NC. Heck, it takes me 25 minutes just to get to Walmart. I don't want to talk about how much I have to drive to play music, but in any case, it's still worth it to me.
