Hopi Social Dance Rhythmic Organization

Does anyone have an idea what the rhythmic organization is here?

I just got a CD of Hopi social dances, and they are pretty much all like that with starts/stops/breaks, some sound kind of like triplets or tresilo at times.

Really unique, most Native American music is much more rhythmically consistent, except for the more southern Mayas and Aztecs. Though I wonder if the pueblos might have some of the more intact court music in North America, being as most of the towns were abandoned elsewhere in North America.

I think its interesting that this recording of Muskogee singing and drumming, as some similar breaks, and isn't a uniform pulse:
Which possibly isn't surprising since Muskogee historians claim to have traveled from the west, and shared many of the same features of corn agrarian social complex.
