Hey! I'm planning to buy TAMA ROCKSTAR set from guy. I can post pictures, can someone help me to identify what exactly is the kit by pictures. I saw tama catalogues but they are sooo many rockstar changes in the years.

My guess is circa 2000 Rockstars or Rockstar Customs, based on the lugs and badge. At that time (and if I remember correctly), Rockstars’ finishes were wrapped while the Rockstar Customs were lacquer. The shell material for the Customs was slightly different, as well.

I know that the set is rockstar, its obvious, i just want to know the year and the shell construction evantually.

And those wraps are really easy to strip if you ever wanted to refinish.

22x16 (maybe x18 but probably x16), 16x16, 12x10 (maybe x9 but probably x10), 1.6mm triple flange hoops... The wrap finish rockstars with that badge that I've seen always had the plastic accu-tune hoops on the bass drum so those may be aftermarket. I also could be wrong.

Check out this site. http://www.drumarchive.com/ Click on the Tama logo, and a whole bunch of catalog scans are available.
Better to check the Tama site (link: https://www.tama.com/usa/support/catalogs/). They have almost all Tama catalogs.

It looks like you have a Tama Rockstar Custom, if you look at the bass drum hoops. Gloss black laquer. The mounting system from the tom on your kit has been removed.
