Help Identifying Pearl Snare

Hello. Could someone please help me identify this Pearl snare. It is an aluminum shell and measures 6 or 6.5 x 14. I think it is early to mid 1990's. Any help is appreciated.

MK1 14x6.5 Aluminium Free Floating Snare. Very desirable now if in good condition.

Thanks. It is in great condition. Is the MK1 the model number? What type of price range could this fetch?

Not really a model number, but they went through several changes over the years, and this one is the original version with the extended snares and the hexagonal "lugs.". In my mind the extended snare strainer is desirable, though I don't think that's a universal opinion.

As for price range, I'd do a quick search of completed eBay listings to get an idea of what these are selling for. There's a pretty wide range on Free Floaters, and often they don't sell for very much. Which is a shame, because I think they're great drums, but Pearl doesn't have the "wow factor" on the secondary market.

This snare is 1st generation FF from the early to mid 1980's. I have one with a steel shell that also doesn't have an adjustment knob on the butt side of the snares. Nice sounding snare, just a pain to set up the snares when you go to change the bottom head.

I played a brass shell piccolo FF that was 2nd gen (with the dual side snare adjustment) and it was a killer snare. Pearl makes great snares (the Sensitones are fantastic too) but I'm always surprised they just don't get a lot of fanfare.

I have a Ludwig USA Maple Classic kit and two Pork Pie USA Custom kits. The snare I play with everything? A Pearl Masters MCX maple 14 x 5.5. I want to explore other snares one day, but this one is my workhorse. It's fantastic.
