Hardware count vs kits

If you don't mind me asking... how many of your kits have custom wraps or are custom made according to your specs?
Only a tom to add to a limited kit in Black Abalone (Guitar Center exclusive in 2010.)

I do have a prototype finish kit in grey fade lacquer, not made for me though. But it's one-of-a-kind. :)

My very first drum kit, a 5 piece Pearl Maxwin, brand new circa 1987

Those Maxwins' were good little performers.

The 12" tom on mine was just absolutely heavenly and the steel standard snare was tough, strong and was wonderfully poppy to play.

Not too much stuff but I will probably never have to buy another piece of hardware.

Bermuda,

Do you have a favorite kit? If so, what is the brand name? Do you play or display it?

No kits on display anymore, but I used to keep a North and later Staccato kit on display in the living room. They were my practice kits although they certainly looked better than they sounded.

I love most of the Ludwig drums from the last 60+ years, my current fave is the Neusonic which I use locally and on tour.

My drums (mostly mis-matched drums): 4 bass drums, 7 snares and 6 toms.

My hardware: 2 tom/cymbal stands, 3 bass drum pedals, 3 HH stands, 3 snare stands, 6 cymbal stands, 3 thrones, 2 cowbell holders, 5 mic stands.

Bottom Line: I can field two complete drum kits.
