Great grooves to work on

I’m slowly working my way through difficult/fun grooves, in a variety of styles. The list I’m working on includes

1. The Funky Drummer Groove
2. The Purdie Half-time shuffle, and related ones like the Porcaro groove from “Rosanna”

I also work on the basic clave rhythm as well, and I’d like to spice that up.

What you got for me?

La Grange - ZZ Top

Frank Beards Texas shuffle is pretty awesome.

Brand X - Nuclear Burn
Frank Zappa - Dong Work for Yuda
Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song
Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire
Paul Simon - Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover
The Raconteurs - Steady as She Goes
Robbie Robertson - Somewhere Down The Crazy River
Steely Dan - Kid Charlamagne
Steve Earl - Copperhead Road
Steve Hackett - A Tower Struck Down
Tower of Power - What is Hip?

Tommy Igoe has an 'essential grooves' poster if you can find it. One giant page of great grooves for various genres. Find it and pin it on a wall!
BTW - La Grange is a 'Killer shuffle' with the hands.. just 1 and 3 with the kick.

Mr. G breaks down the foundation of this cool groove.

The original song...

Another is from Phil Collins, his unique funk beat in Dodo-Lurker begins shortly after the beginning.

Led Zeppelin- Fool in the rain
Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll
Both of these are all about the feel .

Box Scaggs - Lido Shuffle - Jeff Porcaro kills it here .

Benny Goodman - Sing Sing Sing - Gene Krupa - Truly shoeing the world drums could be a solo instrument .

Paul Simon - 50 Ways to leave your Lover - Steve Gadd with an almost militaristic groove .

Ain't Nobody by Rufus & Chaka Khan, with JR Robinson driving covers band drummers mad for nearly 40 years, especially on the chorus.

JR Robinson Ain't Nobody, playing those three consecutive 16th notes on the bass drum heel down!
