Follow-up to erasing the Evans 56 logo

I posted a previous thread about trying to erase the Evans 56 logo found here: https://www.drummerworld.com/forums...ing-logo-from-evan-56-head-impossible.180004/

Nothing worked, so I went to Hobby Lobby, found some of the closest paint I could, did some mixing and matching, and I painted over the logo before adding my vintage Ludwig decal. It turned out so much better than I thought it would!

Here’s the before and after.

Wow...very impressive.
And as the head is splotchy with it's texture anyway, I'd be shocked if anyone even notices.

Great job!

Looks great!

Curious, did you consider painting the whole head?

That is a great workaround that never occurred to me,

Looks good!
Is the shield from vintagelogos.com?

Good job. Maybe next time turn the head 180° so the Ludwig logo would have a clean background.

No, because I had already applied the keystone graphic. I didn't want to order another one of those.
