Ever felt guilty about getting paid for doing a gig?

Well we had to stop a song after 30 seconds because it was a total train wreck and then wait for the guy to work out what he was supposed to play. It wasn't pretty.

But yes, you live and learn and we should put it behind us and move forward.
It happens....just keep smiling.....

NO! because I would NEVER gig until we are a well oiled machine, treat every show as if it were Madison Square Garden, (I should note that I have never played MSG) but it ain't over yet! move on and do better next time.

Awards, money, trophies etc. can have two results. Reward you for a job well done, or provide incentive to do better. You lugged your gear there and played. Some compensation is due but it's time for a band meeting where you discuss never letting the performance get to that low point again.
