Years ago I remember putting a fiberskyn amb on my 5.5x13 mapex phosphor bronze..taking it to the gig and the sound floored me. The entire night hitting the snare was a joy. Could Earthtone possibly be even better?..holy man on the silver mountain.

It very well could. They aren’t my favorite for snares but they do have a great sound on toms. Picture the Fiberskyn without the mylar sound.

Ha he loves the drums for some reason, though I don’t play while he’s in the room, he always sneaks in and manages the nooks and crannies within the drums and what not, so I can’t easily fish him out. His nickname is Catman. Right now he’s laying under the tom basket near the legs.

I wouldn’t call these better than Fiberskyn, it may be preference as Fiberskyn are synthetic and these are real.

Getting off early for New Year’s, heading home - all I could think of was how much my Rogers kit came alive, and couldn’t wait to sit behind the kit.

I really am digging them right now, my kit sounds like Cozy Cole’s on Topsy (2) if only I could play like him lol.
