Dtx 12 sensitivity and cross talk issues

I got a Yamaha dtx12 and need some help figuring out the sensitivity and cross talk issues. The current state is unusable.

It only registers bounce rolls and roughs when sensitivity is set to finger mode. None of the other options register those small strikes at all.

But, the finger mode causes bad cross talk. It's worst when striking the top right pad, which always triggers the pad below it.

I'm trying to use the manual but it's very complicated. I think many different parameters effect this.

Maybe the gain level for each pad needs to be changed instead? And the velocity curve?

If you could post your settings that work with bounce rolls and roughs that would be so helpful!

Also how you get to each parameter.

I did a factory reset to start from scratch. I've tried different stick weights and sizes.
