Good pics. Beauty's in the eye of the beholder - I'm seeing some nice stuff from the pic threads, and also some stuff that makes me cringe a little - LOL.
Thanks for posting them.

Me with Paul Francis, Zildjian Director, who was responsible for the new 23" Sweet Ride.
Hey Paul - big ' thumbs up ' for that new Sweet Ride. Can't wait to see and hear it in person.

You know, I saw that several times - bass drums with the really fat front hoops. What the heck is that all about? I know it serves no sonic purpose. Do these manufacturers think these drums are own by people who have step vans or moving trucks? I can see some kid buying it and then discovering it won't fit in the back of mom's Camry....

For the most part I saw alot of cool things at NAMM, aside from these fat hoops (and maybe the booth with the Rock 'n' Roll apparel - which seemed to attract every person wearing black {and some eye-liner})!

Pearl has brought back the Export kit. Same price as the one I bought new in late 1990's! They eliminated those ridiculous Pearl branded cymbals, but still include a (pretty nice) cymbal stand and a hi-hat stand, with the matching snare. Here it is, in "Chrome Smoke", but my camera could not adequately capture how nice this finish looks:

I'm sure some marketing blurb will tell you they focus the bass drum sound. I'd go into more detail, but I'm busy feeding my unicorn ;)
