I have my eye on one of a few 14x8 STS snares in the ice blue on Reverb. Ironically from that same seller. Hoping one will be available in a few months, didnt add one to my order. Kinda just went nuts buying this kit and the Zildjian recording set from Sweetwater. I've never done a formal intro, planning on one when I have everything.
Took six months from placing order to delivery of a custom Noble and Cooley snare drum order to come through this month.
But they're a small company dealing with supply chain problems and coming off the pandemic with manpower issues like everyone else so I completely understand.

I was there last week picking up my snare. Mine was an alloy that was ready a little sooner than DCP thought it would be initially, they said 4 months and it was more like 4-6 weeks. That being said, what I saw of the operation, made me want more. Great people, awesome drums.
The steam bent drums take time due to the process if they have the wood you want. The ply drums are outsourced for shells built to spec and their primary supplier is dealing with long lead times which is frustrating.
I have a Pearl 13x10 BCX tom on special order. Pearl discontinued the BCX line in 2016 and read on the PDF that since 1-1-2020 they no longer would make add on drums. Contacted Pearl if they could make me this tom without going the Masterworks route; they agreed! Was told there was a 6 month wait time. Ordered it just after christmas and contacted the retailer last week since i read a lot about delays etc. Got word back that it can still expect it near the end of june, so keep you fingers crossed
Any one out there that are still waiting for orders i got an update today on my floor tom it will now be late August early September what a bumma I guess it will be all worth it.
My 13x10" tom should be here by the end of this week. Got an e-mail from Thomann that it is ready for shipping and now waiting for it to be picked up by UPS.
I just contacted Yamaha re some AHM add on drums (13x9 tom and 22x14 kick). They are saying 6 to 9 months from the order date. Possibly sooner if they have them ready to ship, or are in production.
My understanding is Yamaha works in production blocks. Focussing on a specific line for a period of time. Then moving on to another. With luck, my order will sync well with their AHM production schedule.
Again, UPS was too lazy to deliver it to my address... got a mail that i wasn't home and that i could pick it up at the pickup point. Which is very odd since the door bell didn't rang once and there wasn't even a notice in my mailbox...
Anyway, the tom is here! Looks stunning and i really, and i mean: really, need to polish my other drums. This one shines and there is an obvious change in colour after 8 1/2 years, but this one looks exactly as when i got my kit back in 2014.
Got an update on my 14 sonor FT today from my local drum shop my order was to be here this month now I've been told mid November WTF is going on.i tell my self.
I ordered a Roland SX Pro, KT-10, and a BT-1 through the shop of a friend. A warm gesture from him, and in this terrible time (mom isn't expected to make the end of november due to brain tumors) more than welcome.
I've waited 3.5 years for a snare, 2 years for replacement wood hoops and 4 years for a new bass drum hoop that I eventually got overnight from another manufacturer......waiting can be a pain but it's worth it in the end.....usually.
