Drum case for 15x8" Field Drum

I have a beautiful 15x8" Pearl Philharmonic field drum that I need to take out on a semi-regular basis to record and perform. Due to its unusual size, I am really struggling to find a snare drum (or any type of) case that is suitable.

Protection Racket do a 15" snare case, but it is only 6.5" deep. I have a 16" tom case which I can fill with padding, but it's 16" deep and not ideal.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can source or make a high-quality case for this size of drum?

For reference, it is this drum: https://www.thomann.de/gb/pearl_phx_1580_c_210.htm

Ahead's free floater case should do it at 17/7.75”. That snare mech doesn't look too greedy for space. If you're in the UK old fibre Spaulding Russell 16s are about 10” deep when closed. US equivalent probably old Ludwig hatbox style 16.

Thanks. That Ahead free-floater... is that describing the internal dimensions? How tight do you think it would be at less than 8" deep?

This should serve your needs and certainly doesn't break the bank at $55:

15" diameter and the 12" depth should allow a little extra room for the wood hoops. Seems decently padded as well without being a huge clunky hard case. Depth and diameter are confirmed by the specs listed lower on the page and sweetwater is very reliable for these types of things.
