Does this sound like it could work? (Offset tom mounting)

Here's what I am thinking:

Attaching the Tama double tom stand to the "centered" clamp in the front (the one that is holding the tom in this photo):

I would probably mount a cymbal on one of the clamps in the back and try to swivel it to be more centered. Any oversights here?

i seconds the extra memory lock, but it works fine :) i have the same gibraltar stand and its sturdy as anything! :) just make sure the double tom part is over one of the legs when deployed otherwise the whole thing will topple over.

also, as a side note, make sure the tom mount will fit in the gibraltar stand holes, as theres a slight chance it could be too big for the mount holes.

Tama lists it's tubing as 25.4mm (1"), and Gibraltar says the stand accepts 1/2"-1" tubes so I'm assuming it'll fit. There's another website that says it accepts tubes from 3/4"- 1 1/4", which would be even better

yep it'll fit no problem then! :D

It will work. I had one and mounted a tom from it as well as two cymbals. Just make sure one leg is under the toms. Peace and goodwill.
