Dont know about any of what you are thinking (hand doesnt look that good) but quest love afro picking that bean and kazzoing (kazoo-ing sp?) is pretty funny. I think I could watch that girl sing that a thousand times and not be bored either. Dont know what it is.

He's holding the mallet with a fulcrum and using his fingers to play the strokes (free strokes)...

I noticed that as well when I saw this on broadcast tv...

He was using real finger technique...and had fairly consistant stroke...

Could be natural for him...
