I've noticed that many Paiste profiles are lighter than those of Zildjian and so on. Perhaps B8, by its very nature, is a lighter alloy than B20? I've never come across a discussion on that topic.
Paiste cymbals are, by their very nature, the perfect weight for every model & size. Made possible by their use of unobtainium, their proprietary alloy additive.

I thought all Z. users knew this. ?

"Unobtainium" sounds about right. Paiste's processes have always been enshrouded in mystery. I thought their secret ingredient was Swiss chocolate, but as a long-time Zildjian player, I'm in the dark on such matters.
