Different "Moods" when playing with brushes

Hey guys! How's it going?

So this subject is something that only became aware yesterday. Kind of a strange thing, really...
So I'm trying to play jazz by myself, I've been learning by some videos and some pages from jim chapin's book.

But the thing is whenever I play jazz with sticks, my mind thinks differently than when I'm playing with brushes.

To be more specific about this issue, I think I play with much more creativity when I play with the brushes than when I play with the sticks...

It sounds crazy, eh? I know...

But my imagination flows in a way that I can improvise when I play with the brushes with swingy-shuffled stuff, hand to foot slow motion fills... man I just can't play the same way when I'm playing with my sticks.

How can I with that same "mood" but with the sticks?
I know it sounds crazy, but it's true... It's like "I'm free" when I play jazz with brushes lololo funny, eh?

Hope to hear from you guys soon!
thanks!
