Daru Jones PDP New Yorker

Has anyone had experience in playing one of these kits?

Are they loud enough for anything other than acoustic gigs? Do they pack a punch? There is one about an hour and half drive from me so need some info before I go.

I'll be playing generic covers, nothing too heavy.

I'm looking for a compact kit, any other suggestions?

Budget of £1000 for all the kit inc cymbals.

Cheers y'all.

Do you already have a kit? Hardware? Cymbals? Snare?

No doubt, this would be a fun little kit, but it's pretty much tailored for portability ..... and so if you own a car and are willing to make more than one trip from your car to the stage .... you can get into a bop kit for a lot cheaper. https://www.thomann.de/gb/yamaha_stage_custom_bop_kit_nw.htm

Will the mounting hardware allow you to tilt the toms toward you, though?

I did a lot of research on the non signature version--PDP New Yorker. It gets great reviews, and is about 1/2 the price. It was actually being offered by more than a few stores for $300 for the last couple weeks, but I can't seem to locate any at that price.

I know nothing about this website, but here is the $300 version.
