Comprehensive Gear List

Indulge me, please. I'm a guy who loves gear. People's loadouts are spec'd out because of people like me. Will I read an article about Dustin Johnson's bag from putter to driver? Yes. Will I read another article about every firearm used by John Wick, organized by movie? Yes.

And I eat up looking at and reading about drummers' setups. I've picked up some of your setups here and there - in a post or two, in a random signature line - but for those of you who would like to play along, please share your gear list in as much detail as you care to provide.

Here's mine as a calibration:

18 short Premier rods
...
...ah screw it, I might continue tomorrow...

I normally have a list I keep on my home computer listing everything I own drum-wise for an insurance policy I carry for my gear outside my home-owners insurance. I used to send the agent my gear list every 3 months or every time I made major or substantial buys or sell-offs. I haven’t updated that list in over year but only out of sheer laziness. I’ve bought and sold a ton of stuff during quarantine and I really should get around to getting that list up to date.

Currently have 7 drums kits (most with matching snares)
Probably 20-22 snares outside of that
Well over 100 cymbals (closer to 125 if I’m not mistaken)
5 different sets of hardware including a drum rack
Cases for almost all (Ahead soft bags or SKB hard shell, depending.)

I honestly don’t think I could remember everything right now.

And that list above is actually smaller from 2 years ago in certain regards. (Far fewer snares now, more cymbals now, probably the same number of kits, but different ones, etc…)

Yea my list is long but was even long just last week when I sold off about 10 cymbals, and 3 snares.

My Benny Greb 2.0 is a 13x5.75 and it’s probably my favorite snare I own.

I’ve never owned a rack, though did look into them. I just utilize only 5 stands with bases in my setup:
2x Sonor double boom stands
1 DW 9000 boom
1 Sonor boom
Then the double Tom stand from Sonor (or DW when I’m playing the Ludwig kit)

I just utilize a lot of attachments to make the most of the space.

Is it to show our GAS to everybody ;) ?

my wife "inherited" all of mine...and there is no need for permission in our relationship. We both work. We both have hobbies. The bills get paid...

she would rather have me spending money on drum stuff...and bike stuff..and sports cards, than booze and hookers

plus, my drums make me money...
