In the first video of this "Brushes" series, we're demoing our Gretsch Catalina Club with Remo Fiberskyns. We've got two other videos planned with brushes, one with Remo Ambassadors and another with Evan's Calftones. Let us know if there are other heads you'd like to hear!

We used two AKG C214 microphones as overheads, a Shure SM57 on the snare, and an AKG d112 on the bass drum.

Calftone! That would be awesome. I really like those heads but had durability issues with the fibers. Evans supposedly fixed this but I haven't revisited them in a year or so. I'd love to hear your take on them.
