Black Friday / Cyber Monday Deals

Okay so we had a thread going for veteran's day so thought I'd start one for Cyber Monday and Black Friday.

Are there deals to be had? It seems to me MF and GC only ever put things on sale like drumsticks, heads, and cheap kits no on wants to buy. You can't use coupons on a lot of their good stuff.

OK here are mine: MF is selling a single pedal Speed Cobra for $120 ( about $60 off). Cascio has up to a 15% coupon code that seems to work on things I actually want to buy.

On Friday, Explorers Percussion will be selling a 16" Sabian AAX bright crash for only $89.00 plus you get a 10% discount for buying it online.

Some places have walk-in, in-person deals, that aren't really advertised too.

Some of it is just overstock, inventory reduction, I think. But you can also find the occasional sweet deal.

Edit: Just checked Sweetwater - they've got a 5 pc. (8/10/12/16/22) Gretsch Marquee for $899:

Dont' mean to hog this thread
You aren't hogging, I found your posts helpful to look for sales.

Once again, I am greatly disappointed in MF's doorbusters. Two years ago they had some fantastic deals on Z3's, AAX cymbals and other pro gear. Now other than the one 16" AAX cymbal and the Speed Cobra, all the gear is low level.

Need a small, new, beater kit for the price of a used one:

Tama Imperialstar4 pc. Bop in hairline blue - $199. EDIT: that one's all done 11/30/2015

These guys have some unique ways to get %'s off.
Bo could get Zildjian Pitch Blacks for 15% (if they still made them), with #3 towards the bottom,
and another 5% for doing a Johnny Cash impersonation on Facebook -
funny stuff.

I was just going to post this. Came up in an email this morning.

Too bad I just sold my Sonor Jungle last week. I really don't need another compact kit.

The Tama set is a great deal if you want a compact kit..which I don't. GC has a PDP 800 straight stand for $25 which is decent. I really haven't been blown away by anything. MF's 15% off doesn't appear to apply to a single thing on my wish list..

MF has been doing a 'Stupid Deal of the Hour' thing all day. I haven't been around though, so I missed most of them.
Don't know if there was any drum/percussion stuff involved.

I checked here and there and like most of their "Stupid Deals", I didn't see any percussion.

Just checked out their sale prices on cymbals. Seems to be a few real good deals.
I just bought a 30th anniversary Pearl brass free floater, new, from them for $874. Didn't really need a third brass snare but the darn thing was $1300 or so when they first came out and there were only 100 made for the US market. Sure it's still pricey but I thought it was a great deal so I jumped.

Yeah, I just created a thread in the gear section about this Sweetwater deal. They also have a Catalina Ash 5-piece for $499!

I took advantage of Interstate's 20% of deal and pulled the trigger on a new set of Mapex Saturn Vs. I got the fusion set, 20,10,12,14 and ordered a matching 13x5.5 snare. Transparent Ash Burl Burst. They said it could be several weeks before I recieve them since they ship straight from the manufacturer.
