bend in ride

Just a quick question about my ride that has sorta like a dent on the outside. Like for two inches the metal goes up for like 2mm then down. Just wondering if it will effect the cymbals sound dramatically and lead to a crack of some sort.

Thanks for advice in advance

I've put bends in my HHX china, but the metal is so malleable I can bend it with my hands with little force. It's dents and dings that will do your cymbals in - at gigs always handle them yourself and buy a hard cymbal case - personally I don't think the soft bags cut it for protection. What ever you do don't drop them on concrete, easiest way to crack them.
