Howdy, I’ve been playing with some people for a while not really making our own music, doing covers from bands (Green Day, Black Sabbath, Nirvana) that kind of stuff but are starting to make our own songs and it’s handy to have a name when we start playing at local places/ doing open mic nights and that stuff. Y’all got ideas?

Two Klaus For Comfort. It's even funnier that there are more than two of you.

The only logical choice is "Green Sabbath Nirvana".
Green sabbath sounds fine though ;-)

The choice of a band name is essential (easy to remember, easy to spell, easy to google)
It's fine not to do like the others (a standard mounting of a name and an adjective in english), the angry coyotes, the dirty pigeons, the red skeletons, the low boys, the screaming ones, the great pretenders, lol...
And then go your own way. Perhaps building your own word or pick it out from a foreign language.

Take a word or a phrase from a song you like and make it a band name.

Take "Basket Case" from Green Day for example. Here are some band names you could pull from the lyrics:

Melodramatic Fools
Cracking Up
Life's a Bore
Grasping to Control
Tricks on Me
Neurotic to the Bone
