attaching tom arms to stand

Hi

I'm looking for a way to attach my tom arms to my cymbal stand as I don't use a bass drum most of the time and when I do I mostly use my floor tom as a bass drum so I don't have anything for my hi toms to be attached to so I was thinking the stand for my one cymbal would be a good thing for them to attach to. I have giving using a 2 way half cupler (for rigging) a go at this but it was a little to big for the job. Any ideas

There are about a million and one different varieties of clamps on the market that will work for this.

Just make sure you place one of the legs directly underneath the weight to stop it falling over.

Here are a couple of examples. What kind of tom arm do you have?

7/8" diameter with a ratchet. I think they are gibraltar ones not 100% as they like most of my kit came from a charity shop/bin.

Well the top pick I posted is made by Mapex and is very inexpensive. I use one for my remote hats. It will fit on any cymbal stand, and hold any tom arm.
