Any reggae drummers?

I know the fundamentals of reggae, but I'm looking for some technique pointers, and some ideas for fills/ways to spice it up. I play primarily Caribbean music but of the more upbeat variety, and when I get to a reggae song in the set I'm all thumbs (a challenge to play laid back after hitting those dance tempos)

If you want to learn how to play reggae, then my advice would be to listen about 20/30 times to this Lee Perry album..

Reggae is not about technique, but about feel..

Literally everything you need to know can be heard on this one..:

Well said, and applicable to a lot of styles. But there are still little technique tricks involved (like those shallow rimshots to get that specific snare sound)

Will check out the Lee Perry. Most of what I've learned in drumming is from listening anyway!
