as much as I hate The Habs....it is awesome to see the bandwagon hit the wall....
First one head-first into the wall was the Leafs...followed by the Jets.

My brothers and I had a table hockey game you could move your players and shoot- I was bitchin’ . I remember seeing something similar when my kids were little but players didn’t slide around like old game- so was lame. RockNSockem robots were fun. I got one for Xmas and first day myself , bros, Dad and my Dad’s bud had broke it. Dad replaced it quickly because we had quite the competitions for months. I’d forgotten all about that . Thanks for the hockey mention.

dude!!! Crazy that you mention this...I have one of those games from the 60's sitting in the living room now, getting ready to be put on a table and played. I inherited it years ago from an ex girlfriend's grandmother. Have been cleaning it up. The players are Chicago Blackhawks and NY Rangers. In the process og getting a specific table built for it to live on

If on the fringe but too far for the putter, putt with a 6 iron. It will lift the ball enough to clear the fringe, but stays low enough in arc that it still rolls once it drops on the green.

That's all I know. It's the only useful piece of golf info anyone has ever given me.

Golf is really in short game chipping and putting is your best bet for practice. I focused on driving to detriment of my short game. I could drive a ball 350 yards fairly consistently but my buds driving 220 would beat my pants off.

I haven’t held a golf club in 20 years and hsve zero interest in sport now. I’ve been to Augusta National a number of times and that was fun- it’s like an oasis surrounded by a graveyard and depression. I’d even forgotten I was on high school golf team till I saw a pic on FB. I guess I use to be a golf fanatic from the time I could walk till 20s. I was hooked on it but I pulled a Huey Lewis and found a new drug LOL. It’s a game and not really a sport Is my opinion now. Actually a lot of sports are turning into games imho.

yeah...when i played, my short game and putting saved my life...

I rarely ever more than 2 putted....after taking 15 strokes to get to the green

no matter what wood/driver I used, I would worm burn it 150 yards, about 3 inches off the ground, but usually straight.

I never took real lessons, but had 2 good friends/band mates who went to Q school back in the 90's, and they would help me out.

and as I got older, and more into mountain biking - which I was better at - golf drifted away from my world. I still love to watch it on tv...it is the only thing on the weekends if I am home...

and being a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, we have had many early golf seasons to study the game with

I screwed up my knee 30 years ago so I could only get 200 yards out of my driver but I was always hitting from the short stuff as I can hit the ball arrow straight. It helps a lot when you're not scrambling or hitting out of trees.

When I was playing a few times a week I was a bogey golfer as long as the course wasn't a 7000+ yard monster. I mainly golfed with my Dad who played daily. When he ended up with dementia I took him golfing when I could until he couldn't play anymore. He died last year and I haven't went golfing since.

BTW - I use a 7 iron when chipping from the fringe. 😆

Lightning fan here and happy for the two in a row, but next year we start over. Salaries over the cap will cause a breakup. Only two players on this years team were not on last years team. Implosion coming.

The Kucherov cap/injury/Oh look, he's OK now gambit was slick. In this case, the end justified the means...
