1966 Catalog - Who makes these U.S. / Imported drums?

My longtime habit of collecting has led me to own more than a few old catalogs. Thumbing through my 1966 Benentt Brothers Catalog has me wondering who makes the drums they sold back then. No brands included with the listing but somebody out there should recognize them. . .

I could improve the photos if needed.

The one page has headline "Imported" so they're MIJ Made in Japan. Stencil kits and snares. Various sources. My first kit was a MIJ with a tiger stripe orange/black sparkle wrap.

Sweet. That’s a start. I’ll blow up the pics and start trolling eBay.

Those snare drums and parades... are USA … probably Grossman Music./Rogers Drums and I highly doubt 1966.... as those lugs ceased to be made about 1957/58. One of the parades … , on the end.. has a Joseph Rogers & Sons Union Label Badge.

Drum set ...lower left, is Rogers. FOB warehouse is either Covington Ohio or Cleveland Ohio...54-58 there were other lines carried under the Rogers name. I do not have those catalogs. Page from 58 Rogers below. Soo Brand, Daisy Brand, Union Brand. were all used early

Well that leaves me a tad perplexed. Why would a catalog retailer run pics from 10 years prior? That kinda shoots down my evil plan of tracking one down as I tend to cut off my drum fantasies with the advent of the Beatles.

I'm still sticking with stencil kits MIJ that copied Rogers et al. In a 1966 catalog you'd have drums manufactured in 1966 but are MIJ copies of older 1950's Rogers etc.

Sorry, it's Del Rey, not Del Ray (although the pronunciation is Del Ray), which in Spanish means "of the King" or "King's." That is why a crown appears on the badge. Regards.

I was thinking a few days ago that I had never owned a Tama drum. But my first "kit" was a Drum Mate, so I guess I have. Peace and goodwill.

It's good to know that there is accidental redemption, I'm sincerely glad you've known the joys of Tama ownership :)
