10/14 - 12/14 - 12/16

8" to 16" by twos. That's my preferred set-up, although I may not have it.

I like my 12/14 but I'm sometimes wanting that 16" floor tom (yes, I'm getting one). I've tried 10/14 but it doesn't cut it for most of what I play.

I find 4 inches to be too much of a spread, usually. When I play a 10/14 or 12/16 in the studio, I usually tune them a little closer. I'm a fan of either 12/14 or 13/16. I think I might like a 14/18, actually, but I've only played on other peoples' kits. I'd have to spend some time tweaking and experimenting to see if that would be satisfying to me, personally.

12/16. The 12/14 would be my next choice. I like big, large notes, lol.

I've been driving a 10" & 14" configuration for quite a few years, and I just love the possibilities the combination offers. If the drums are any good, they should have enough range to be tuned to an interval between an octave and perfect fourth and still retain similar tonal characteristics.

Even though it's not offered, I'll take 10/16

Actually I prefer 10/12/16, but it sounds like 2 toms are the max here.

I just started playing 12/15/18 (I had been doing 13/15/18). I like the spread of incrementing by 3 and the wide range.

Generally i'd go for 12/16 simply because i love the sound and look of bigger toms. Bearing that in mind, my IDEAL setup would be 13/16/18 with a 24 kick.

I'm a big guy and i like big drums, the more the merrier :p

I have a 12/14/20 and a 13/16/22 all in the same finish so I can mix and match. I usually play a four-piece kit, but every once in a while I set up my kit with 12/14/16/22

When I go 4 piece it's almost always 12/14. I think with 4" gaps there are less options; quads, sextuplets don't quite sound right.

i really like 12/14 as in 12*9 & 14*12, and alltough my current setup might be a little extreme with 13 shorstack and 18 floor, its the perfect match for me. i crank them up quite a bit just to get more timbale and wood.

I've been digging the 12/16 setup lately. Usually play with a 12/14 setup if I'm only using a small kit, but I love the bigger tone from a 16 floor.

When using two rack toms I like them spaced relatively far, so either 10/14 or 12/16, depending on what the situation calls for. When playing a 5-piece I also often play 10/12/16.
I generally play a 6-piece with 10-12-14-16 configuration. Two up, two down.

So far it stands:

10/14 X3

12/14 X6

12/16 X3

I didn't count votes from people who called a setup different from any of these three.
