was at a radio station last night and the musicians decided to jam! We played Oleo, never played with these guys before but it was fun! Me on drums. Comments and criticism appreciated!
Here is the way I work out the jazz soloing.
Writing first ideas for the snare and bas drum and putting them in a 2 bar phrase finally resulting in a 16 bar solo.Can be applied for any style.
All the ideas are accumulation of all I had heard here + a concept of broken 6 stroke roll...
I am going to be playing two styles of music on my new kit:
So should i buy a jazz kit and play jazz and rock on it?
Or a rock kit and play rock and jazz on it?
