I remember then in the early 80s along with the Amir line. I have an 18" Impulse crash from 1985. I love it and it's been on my home kit since then.
Crisp and bright; another cymbal I'm sure will outlast me.
LOUIE!
I absolutely love all the clips I've seen with him and Buddy and Louie is more than holding his own while Buddy is giving him a look that says "Hey! You're busting my chops!"
It's no secret that 10" toms drive snare drum wires crazy. Mine is positioned to the left of my hihat. This distance away from my snare creates way less snare wire buzz. Even a snare with tighter wires can buzz like crazy.
ARTCessories Split-Com-Pro. I use this combined with two Audix i5 mics to mic my snare top and bottom. Uses up one channel on my board. I use the Mackie Onyx 24.
I still have my very first A. Zildjian; a 20" Rock Ride, purchased when I was 11 years old.
It was my main gigging ride cymbal for decades! I'm 66 now, and the cymbal sounds and feels great!
