    The Grand Master Buddy Rich

Haha that was great, I've never heard that before. What a badass.

Haha... Funny to think that if he were still alive and came here to start posting anonymously, he'd probably get banned.

    Drummers Using 1 Crash

From a MD interview (http://www.moderndrummer.com/site/2011/09/john-stanier-of-battles/#.UDvJlqDWDAk): MD: What’s with the super-high crash? John: I didn’t want any cymbals but the hi-hats at first. Then I was like, “Okay, I’ll use one,” but I didn’t want it...

    Your all time favorite album

I'll go ahead and be that snobby guy who "prefers their older stuff." I'd take Transnational Speedway League, and the Impetus EP... And the self-titled album too. I have picked up Blast Tyrant, Elephant Riders, and Beale to Oblivion recently, but find myself still preferring the older stuff.

What's your favorite drum key? Serious!

Thats a cool idea. KIS should do it with Guru. I know what you mean about Tama, that's how I am with Mapex, as illogical as it is, its just something subconscious.

What's your favorite drum key? Serious!

+1 for the Pearl... Not that I have a choice, I have so many. I think they have the ability to reproduce or something. I don't have much Pearl gear (a hihat stand, and a snare currently), but I have like 5-6 of those damn keys.

    Your all time favorite album

That is a great Katatonia album... I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say "all time favorite", but yea I love that one. And I'm not sure how I forgot "Signals" in my original list, but yea... I love that one too. I would also consider "The Bedlam in Goliath" (Mars Volta... or maybe Deloused...

    Your all time favorite album

Probably Lateralus by Tool. Or maybe Aenima. Or maybe Still Life by Opeth. Or Human by Death. Or Focus by Cynic. Or Rust in Peace by Megadeth. Or Paranoid by Sabbath. Picking one is too hard.

    Evans: What does "genera" mean?

I have a Tama snare that came with a Tama-branded "genera G1 coated" head. Is this just a plain old G1? I was always under the impression that "genera" didn't really mean anything, and I've heard people here say that too... But looking at the Evans site makes me question this. The only "genera"...

Too much talent in one room...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elKAILyE1b8 I mean like... What if there was a fire or something? That's just putting too many eggs in one basket. Wow.

    Hoop out of round?

I picked up a new 14" Chad Smith snare last week. Tonight I noticed that an o-ring wasn't sitting flat, and measured the lug-lug diameter and noticed that at one point there's a 1/8" difference (on both batter and res sides). The shell itself looks good, a perfect 14" all the way around. Is...

    Does anyone play video games?

I thought it was to fall in holes, and then get out of them.

ET?!? That was probably the most pointless game ever made. From Wiki:

    Does anyone play video games?

Haha. Yea I think the most disappointing day of my life was the day NW(1) came out. I was addicted to Baldur's Gate, so when NW was announced I was expecting the best thing ever... and it wasn't :( Dragon Age was great though, not up there with Baldurs, but still a good game. 4 people parties...

    Does anyone play video games?

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'll probably get bored one day and pop it back in. I loved the 1st one, but couldn't get into the 2nd (altho I didn't give it too much of a chance). My all time favorites would probably be: Zelda - Link to the Past Mortal Kombat 2 Doom (1&2) Baldur's Gate (1&2)...

    Does anyone play video games?

My previous job was doing tech support, play-testing and compatibility testing for video games, and then porting crappy cell phone games... So yea, I play A LOT of games... Or rather, I DID, until I started playing drums... But of course, one of the things that sparked that interest, was...

    Gene Hoglan

+1. Symbolic and ITP are the only hoglan CDs that I have (I think, maybe one of the newer Fear Factory CDs that I have is Hoglan). I still prefer Human (Reinert) tho (probably the first death metal CD I ever got into).
