Late comer in this thread. There's many cats who could have been chosen to replace Bonzo, my personal choice would have been Cozy Powell. It would have only worked if the new drummer had his/her own style/approach to the music (like with the Who or Toto), some drumming icons cannot be replaced...

Brilliant post Al, I agree with everything you said. There's many, many pro drummers and drum teachers out there with a phenomenal reputation, but it is indeed the perceived attitude and personality which leads us towards people in real life, so it effectively could be a factor to take lessons...

Anyone watched the blood moon last night (full lunar eclipse). I watched it with the family, it was amazing with a splendid clear sky, I even seen 3 shooting stars, it was my first lunar eclipse :) I thought it made the moon look more 3D than usual, I felt like I could grab it.
