That is an old clinic picture (ca 2005 - ish). Look at the picture below that one, you can see that there is a Remo Spoxe hihat above the toms.( Next to another pair of hihats). So thats why in that clinic he used two remote hihat stands. Dont know what Remo Spoxe are? Google it!
