Dating Sabian signature lines?

Kind of a silly question, but I stumbled on a Sabian 20" mini-bell Carl Allen signature series ride and I was just curious if there was a source for dating it. It seems Zildjian has some good resources, but Sabian not so much. It's the best small venue cymbal I've ever owned and can be quiet with sticks and you can coax a nice variety of sounds out of it with brushes with brushes so I was curious on its history.

That'd be helpful advice, if you typed "Carl Allen" instead. :ROFLMAO:

All jokes aside, I don't think they made that past the mid-2000s.

An email to Sabian customer service is a great place to start.

Sorry about that. I guess I got Carl mixed up with Chad. Chad was a dynamic pre-rock drummer back in the 40s. Played for years with the Lenny Colbert Crew which specialized in classical music converted to a bebop beat and emphasized trombone on most leads. Again sorry about the confusion.

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't sure if any of the customer service shops were responsive at all, but it's certainly worth a try. I searched the sabian site and a number of forums and even old ebay listings with no luck. It's odd how much zildjian history is available yet almost zero sabian.
Thanks again.
