New Kit Pic’s (shell pack only)

New kit arrived a couple of days ago, but I won’t be able to pick it up until tomorrow. Until then, I asked the Drum Guy to go ahead and Unbox them and put Remo Smoked Emperors on them (PS3 on BD batter). 8”x10”, 9”x12” racks. 12”x14, 14”x16” floors and 16”x22” BD. All Maple shell, Quilted Maple outer ply, Satin black burst, black nickel hardware.
Sorry for the shell pack pic’s. They’re what he sent me.
The kit will be paired with Paiste Cymbals that I have.
15” Signature Dark Energy Hats (main).
15” Giant beat hats (auxiliary).
20” Dark Energy Mark l Ride.
18” Signature Full Crash.
18” Sig. Precision Crash.
2-18” Sig. Fast Crashes.
18” 602 Formula China.
10” Dark Energy Splash.

Congratulations on the score, she’s a beauty, I love the black hardware as well.
I bet you can’t wait to bring it home.

Are those air vents on the bass drum reso head?
 
Congrats! The quilted maple looks so good. That’s a great set of drums and a helluva cymbal lineup too! Is this your first set of DWs? Keep us posted on how they sound!
 
Thank You All for the kind comments. It’s really appreciated, as I was hesitant with how they would turn out. DW did a good job. I let the drum guy I deal with unbox and re-head as He seemed more excited than I was. He’s very particular and checked the bearing edges and did an inspection on them as if they were his own. I trust Him. This is my 2nd set of DW’s, as I had a 10 piece double bass Design series kit I traded in towards this. My set up will be a copy of Drumminjc’s old twisted blue oyster kit. I kept the drum rack from the design kit, and will set it up the same way he had it. I contacted Him out of respect and asked if he was cool with it, and he is.

I’m interested in your thoughts on moving between the Design and Collectors. The design series are impressive sounding in their own right, then factor in the price and they’re no brainers. I’m in the middle of the two lines with a Performance set and I love em.
 
They finally came in. Congrats! That wait had to seem like an eternity, but that quilted maple finish looks like it was worth every minute of it. (y)
I can't wait to see them set up on the rack. Be sure to post some pics when you get it all sorted.
 
That's a great looking kit and the black nickel hardware is killer.

I wish DW would offer their stands in the same finish options (other than just chrome and gold) as their lugs & toms mounts. Obviously it can be done because the floor tom legs are done in a matching finish.
