This won't be new to most, but the Tiny Desk series is a great way to check out some things you may not have heard before or wouldn't normally be your style.

One of the best 80's acts. We perform this song c/w a shortened version of this keys / guitar introNow hear me out... I know this is not technically new music... but gawdam, this recent discovery, is new music for me... of Cutting Crew doing their hit (I Just) Died In Your Arms is phenomenal. Some youngsters may have never heard of Cutting Crew... No not 2 Live Crew
It starts out with an extended David Gimour-ish guitar solo... then rolls into a acoustic version, then they kick into a blistering full blown take.

I stumbled onto a metal band from the Ukraine called Jinjer that absolutely destroys. Incredible musicians and an absolute monster of a vocalist, a female who has the most brutal growls/screams and seamlessly shifts to clean vocals. Imagine Gwen Steffani/Amy Winehouse meets Randy Blythe. Drummer is really good also and plays a really unconventional set up.
