Where can I buy bongos with synthetic heads, preferably mylar?

I plan on hitting bongos with sticks, and hide heads won't hold up as well as synthetic. I was advised to go with mylar, but I can't find any bongos with those heads. Could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Toca has a nice set of bongos with fiberskin heads. I've never tried playing them with sticks, though.

Easily, you could thread any standard belt through the tension rods.

Something about the roto toms sounds too 'pingy' to me compared to the richness I hear when bongos are hit with sticks, at least in this song

Maybe it's the flam that's created because it's two guys playing same riff at times, I don't know.

I've searched for Toca fiberskyn bongos and I only get just the heads, or Toca raw hide bongos. Could you link me to the set of bongos with fiberskyn heads please?

All I can tell you is that I bought them at my local music store. The REMO CR-P780-00 looks awfully similar to what I bought.

Roto toms are a totally different sound than deccabons. Lots more attack, less body. The shell really makes a difference.

If you're totally stuck on bongos though, Remo makes a million different plastic headed models. Here's some examples:

the deccabons look great and all, but the REMO set you linked is super light (I plan on walking around with bongos) and I could go thru 4 or 5 of those for the price of the deccabons. thanks so much, I've found my candidate!
