Show us your Four Piece Kits.

Almost half of my 1991 Rockstar DX kit. I play the 22 14 18 live and have the other 22 and the 12 16 at the rehearsal studio. There's also the 8 10 serving as shelf art.

Just got these yesterday and got them re-headed and set up today. The thing I discovered is that even those these are smaller than my Ludwig Classic Maples, they have that sound, and they sound bigger than they are. The bass drum sounds quite big for a 15x20. I'm really happy. I'll post a video or something once my recording studio gear shows up.

But Bermuda is right, if you're looking for a nice solid maple kit built here in the USA, you cannot go wrong with the Ludwig Signet 105. Mine here is the Gigabeat kit with 8.5x12 tom, 14x14 floor tom, and 15x20 bass drum. I added my 5x14 Supraphonic to it. I installed coated ambassadors on top and clears on the bottom. The bass drum got a power stroke 3 with the stock logo head on front. It sounds great and is super light. These things SING!

Four piece showing the new 24 inch Big and Ugly. It makes the 18 inch crash on the right look small

Just finished a long day. St Patrick's Day is a HUGE here. One of the bands I'm in gigged at a hotel on Christiansted's boardwalk. Here's my view (which don't suck none):

The view is great but who did you play to? Was the audience behind you or below.?

Below. We were a story above the Christiansted Boardwalk.

Yes, we played a couple Beatles tunes. ;) One cannot play a rooftop gig without the obligatory Beatles tunes.

I thank my lucky stars we were above the Boardwalk. St Patrick's day is a complete sh!tshow every year. Drunken idiocy taken to new levels. A gig is a gig, and sh!tshow gigs where you've got a 6'5" security guard on the only door to your performance space is an even better gig. :)

Very Nice. I wouldn't expect to see a double bass pedal on that kit but I'm sure it works well.

Thanks- It does seem a little out of place in a small jazz set. But I just use it for warm ups and some exercises. Most of my playing has been on snare over the years, so I'm trying to get some facility out of my feet!
