Default Mic Q (not drum mic...)

(I moved this from Off Topic, realizing it made more sense here...)

Anyways, I have been wanting to do some home recording,
just some real simple stuff, and have been looking for a good,
relatively cheap (around $50 max) usb mic.

I would be mostly recording piano, vocals, and drums.
The software I would be using is Audacity.

Any suggestions?

Oh, the good ole' days of audacity! I remember when I first began with it.. :-)
(On to Logic Studio, now.)

Well, the truth is that you can't get the greatest mic for $50..

If you saved up $100, then the Audio-Technica ATR2500-USB would probably be your best route.

If not, then this Samson USB might suit you!

I would recommend using them as room ambiance mics.

Best of luck!

You can get a Blue Yeti USB mic now for about 80 bucks. Great mic, offers 4 pick up patterns and direct monitoring.
